I am a creative who dabbles in many pursuits. I’m an artist, a teacher, a certified reiki practitioner and have worked in the beauty industry as a makeup artist and skincare advisor since 2002.

I knew from a young age that I’m very sensitive to synthetic ingredients, particularly artificial fragrance, which would almost instantly make me feel nauseated and sometimes bring on migraines. As a small child I intuitively knew that artificial scents were not good for me, but I loved the natural scents of essential oils.

Later, in my role as a makeup artist and skincare expert, clients would ask me to advise them on the best products to use that would help them look and feel their best. I was not surprised to learn that a multitude of synthetic ingredients can be found in personal care products and one of the worst culprits is ‘fragrance’. ‘Fragrance’ is an umbrella term that disguises thousands of artificial ingredients, many of which are known toxins.

Furthermore, I always felt that there was more to life than just the physical existence. This led me to seek answers for many years. I found my first spiritual teacher and energy healer when I was 19 years old. I learned so much from her and went on to learn from many others and in 2007, while living in London, I became a certified reiki and reiki-seichem healer.

My interest in all things spiritual, energy healing, mental health and natural ingredients have all collided to create Pure Perfume Co.
